Scholarships
The Chapter awards scholarships to outstanding Wisconsin students who attend Penn State.
Eligibility:
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
1) Your permanent address must be located in Wisconsin.
2) You must be a full-time undergraduate student at Penn State with at least Sophomore standing.
3) Your GPA must be 3.0 or higher.
4) You must submit your application by the deadline of August 10, 2009.
Selection:
The Chapter selects the applicant(s) who have best demonstrated that they deserve to receive an award. The selection criteria include academic achievement, community service, extracurricular activities, and financial need. No one criterion is more important than another.
Application Requirements:
Please provide an official copy of your transcript and typed essay-style answers to the following questions:
1) What major are you pursuing and why?
2) What has been your favorite class and why?
3) In what community service activities have you been involved?
4) In what other extracurricular activities have you participated?
5) Describe your financial need, if any.
6) What is the best thing you have found about Penn State that you didn’t know you would find before you went there?
7) What are your plans for after graduation from Penn State?
Your answers may be as detailed or as brief as you wish.
