Upcoming Events
After a great fall performance from its varsity athletics, PSU sits at fourth place in the Learfield Sports Directors' Cup standings. But winter is now fully upon us, and PSU's winter sports teams are in the heart of their conference schedules. Unfortunately, the men's basketball team has not been able to find a victory in the Big Ten, but there is hope for the youthful team, as most of the contests have been close. Women's basketball, on the other hand, has two upsets of Top 25 teams under its belt and is near the top of the Big Ten standings! Wrestling is doing well under the first year tutelage of Coach Sanderson, and PSU's other winter varsity sports are having their traditionally strong seasons.
Lady Lion Basketball, January 21, 2010, 7pm, Kohl Center, Madison
The Lady Lion basketball team is coming to Madison to take on the Badgers. Plenty of tickets are available. PSU fans are planning to sit somewhere in sections 114 - 116, behind the basket and close to the PSU bench. Look for us there!
Nittany Lion Basketball, January 24, 2010, 1:30pm, Kohl Center, Madison
The men's basketball team arrives in Madison to take on the Badgers shortly after the Lady Lions leave town. The Kohl Center is usually sold out, so tickets will be harder to come by for this one. Details on a potential meet-up before or after the game will be posted by Friday, January 22.
Nittany Lion Wrestling, January 31, 2010, 1:00pm, Field House, Madison
New wrestling coach Cael Sanderson leads the Nittany Lions into Madison for a Big Ten wrestling dual against the Badgers. The buzz around Coach Sanderson and the potential for Penn State wrestling is already at a high, only a few weeks into his first season. Tickets are general admission and sold at the event. Check back for details on a potential meet-up before or after the dual.
